without serving notice will i still receive salary?

i worked at a boutique for 1 week, but due to the riduculous OTs like 11.45 release you with no mrt/bus home, the next day i smsed my in charged, saying i resigned. she said take care and stuff, and i didnt turn up for work after that.
i was told before, it was a 1 week notice period. but i didnt serve it as i resigned the next morning and didnt turn up after that. Will i still receive salary for the 1 week that ive quitted? plus OT?

did u sign any contract and did the contract specifically state that if you did not serve notice, the co. can dun pay you?

This is Singapore, they are all nasty.They won't pay you and they know there's nothing you can do about it and they also know you don't have money to hire legal services to claim back your work expenses or OT.

You only worked 1 week prior to the resignation, so the most they deduct from you is 1 day's pay.
You have to check to see if your employment contract specifically states 1 week notice. It's best you call Ministry of Manpower to confirm.
Notice of termination of contract
10. —(1) Either party to a contract of service may at any time give to the other party notice of his intention to terminate the contract of service.
(2) The length of such notice shall be the same for both employer and employee and shall be determined by any provision made for the notice in the terms of the contract of service, or, in the absence of such provision, shall be in accordance with subsection (3).
(3) The notice to terminate the service of a person who is employed under a contract of service shall be not less than —
(a) one day’s notice if he has been so employed for less than 26 weeks;
(b) one week’s notice if he has been so employed for 26 weeks or more but less than 2 years;
(c) 2 weeks’ notice if he has been so employed for 2 years or more but less than 5 years; and
(d) 4 weeks’ notice if he has been so employed for 5 years or more.
(4) This section shall not be taken to prevent either party from waiving his right to notice on any occasion.
(5) Such notice shall be written and may be given at any time, and the day on which the notice is given shall be included in the period of the notice. -

1 week + ot should hav at least a few hundred dollars.
But then it really depends whether you have the letter of employment or not. That is very important proof.
If verbally, then they can bit you and dont pay you.

if ur notice period stated is 1week, then u worked 1week tender without notice, then ur 1week pay will be gone, but guess you can claim back the OTssssss

MOM is oni to provide a guideline, not a rule on every org.
the co.'s agreement can supersede the MOM guidelines
u can spend time and effort (and money) to fight
and tts just gonna waste more time and effort (and money) -
Wonder whether ts can get her pay or not.

My old boss called me up asked for my name. lols. then i gave it to her and she hanged up. does that mean im gonna be paid? 0.0
the contract didnt state if i didnt give notice any cash would be deducted. and yes i have the letter :)

Not specifically stated in the contract means the max they can deduct is 1 day for your case.

Cant say much about yr boss call you up.You should ask what's up? And immediately ask for your pay + ots.
You need to call her up and check with here about the status.
Good that you rec her call....at least there is some lead...
