Do accountants earn a lot of money?
Depend on certificate and work experience.
accounting gt ACCS and LCCI.
Work experience also matters.
My frenz told me the pay not bad.
I see. Thanks. Did your friend tell you how much do they normally earn every month?
ntu - pwc - acct/audit - audit manager - audit partner
some stay in hdb some in pte house
poly dip in acct - d & t - acca
Depends on how hard they work, the harder working ones earn more money.
heavy workload...very long working hrs..
n of cos work exp counts alot..and that include what company u work before n current.
master degree.. 8 year..take home 13k sounds ok?
Sounds reasonable.
Depends on where you work also. Work with the big 4 of course more $
accountant dont earn alot of money.
an accountant is only considered a basic post. There are many levels above that. like budget control, and other stuff. But being an accountant is considered as the basic entry to this line.
You should get an MBA or CFA after the ACCA.

if you CFO... then should get 20k-30k.. also have to depends on the company you work for...
some of my friends did accountancy at NTU, but none of them continue their trade in related field. my elder brother is a good example. he even his did masters...
now he is in HK, working as head of equities in an investment firm. probably 30k a month (excluding housing).

climb auditor lo...then become the HOD...
my cousin say she going to promote liao to some director liao..
accounting is dead shit fucking boring.
to me
that said, if you work hard and manage to make your way up that ladder, yah.
yea udon is right.. only the strongest survive..
HAHA!
the pay for accountants is decent, but it comes with the super long hours..
u need many years of experiences and postgrad qual like masters or PHD if u want to climb up to CFO or partner of the big 4 firms. before that, if u can survive the monotonous work and long working hours, sacrifising your personal life to achieve that aim? most acc or auditors switched line to be insurance, start business or go into other lines.
