Can ex offenders join security?

     wonder if you know whether ex offenders can clear SIRD to be security guards?

  This is getting ridiculous if we employ foreigners with offences to be guards or even dealers in casinos-Can we check their records all the way to their countries?

  But we dun even give chances to sporeans who are first time offenders and serve 2 years of NS?

  BTW heard IRs terminated quite a number of casino staff who dun make the grade by CRA:(

  what about crimes in SAF like AWOL or fighting and then sentenced to DB? will they also check your SAF record?

  Sex offenders will not be allowed to be a security guard.

  Same for voilent crime offenders.

  Cheaters, embezzlers, drink drivers, and such offenders can.

  Case by case basis.

  No need to anyhow critise Singapore.

  Everyone got their sad stories...they did not murder rape or set fire yet SG discriminate them over FT workers....just an offence commited by their teenage era..nobody is perfect
