i went for interview last week, and the next day i got the job. its a sales job.
i graduated from poly with 6 months exp.
the salary package they offer me was 1500 basic sal, and bonus based on target. this bonus scheme was 0.5% - 1.2% if reach xx amount of target.
anyone working as a sales here?
looks like poly salaries haven't gone up for at least 10 years.
what kind of product are you selling???
wiht more overseas aliens coming
should be happy that no pay cut
want pay increase?
1,5k + bonus is quite reasonable for you, since you onli had 6mth exp lor. i aso a sales person and i can suggest you to go for it and contribute first so that you can talk.

it's a pay cut lol. 10 years ago, hawker ctr food costs $1.50-$2.50. Today it is at least $2.50. Still can find HDBs worth $150,000. These days it is at least $250,000.
ya lor.. everything goes up except for our salary...... MP salary all goes up too... knn...... and yes.. almost 10 yrs never go up abit... even went down i think.... all thanks to our elite MP and our beloved FTs
don't be so pessimistic.
i think 1.5k just okay. most importantly it just the start pay. in the future if you're a talent and ur able to prove it to your com you're salary will increase fast. cos a salesman always is easier become a rich man-:)
usually sales person is key person in company that can bring revenue revenue. so once you become a key person to a company, they will keep you as their asset. once you become an asset to them, what ever you want you'll probably get it.
Damn.
$1.5K is quite high considering that you can get higher through sales targets.
Some poly grads are getting $1.5K flat or less in non sales jobs.
i must agree with charlize

Some uni grads could be getting $1.5K even.
Heck, some middle aged former manager with 20 years experience could be getting $1.5K in his new job.
Times are bad.
nxt time will be æœ‰é£Ÿæ— å·¥ liao

You talking about commission or bonus? If 1.5k plus com quite okay wor...
yep, that is why you have work more harder to achieve the target, once you achieved you'll get your reward.
sales job is different with normal job eq engineer.
so if you a lazy person, you are not suitable for sales , sorry i must say that!!
