GRID is calling for [B]students and young people[/B] to be involved in a commercial shoot – novices and professionals are welcomed! You could be an Actor, Dancer, Model, Scriptwriter, Camera Operator, Cinematographer, Designer, Make-up Artist, Assistant Producer, Editor, Colorist, Visual Effects Supervisor, Assistant Director, Sound Mixer, Music Composer, Grip, Gaffer...
This commercial shoot will be driven by Mr. Philip Wu, who is also the [B]Executive Producer of Singapore movies[/B] "Money No Enough 2", "Love Matters" and “Where Got Ghost”.
In conjunction with *SCAPE New Media Ambassador Quest ([url]http://360withoutborders.com/NMAQuest/adventure.aspx[/url]), the first 100 registered contestants will be auditioned for a role in GRID’s commercial shoot. World Vision Singapore Youth Ambassador Programme (YAP) is currently holding its Recruitment Drive for the next batch of Youth Ambassadors! We are looking for passionate, committed, as well as enthusiastic post-secondary students, who are willing to join us in our cause.
Here's some information about YAP:
Aims and Objectives
YAP seeks to:
Serve as a bridge, connecting World Vision to the youths in Singapore
To instill a spirit of volunteerism and a heart of compassion in youths
To expose youths to the realities of poverty, thereby encouraging them to partake in or spearhead meaningful projects that will benefit the community
To empower youths to reach their full potential and to live life in all its fullness
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Youth Ambassador, you will
Promote active involvement in community service among your peers
Plan and fundraise for an overseas community work trip to one of World Vision Singapore's supported communities and projects
Conduct talks in schools to share about the work of World Vision and YAP
Participate actively in activities organised by World Vision
Spearhead new initiatives
Uphold the values of World Vision
Commitment
As a Youth Ambassador, you will be required to
Attend month General Meetings, currently set on the last Friday of every month
Attend Event and Department meetings (fortnightly basis)
Participate in World Vision and YAP activities
Plan and participate in the overseas community work trip
Commit to the term of service from March 2010 to June 2011
