I kept getting fired in the corporate world and now that I went back to school, hopefully it would improve the situation. I have terrible communication skills as I have no friends and people around me are not very helpful to my situation either.
You can say that after my previous setbacks, I have doubts about whether I could actually overcome and be able to maintain my job in the long run.
Anyways, I have a part-time retail job right now and not doing amazing.
I don't know why I have to always live at the ends of the threads. I don't even know what do these people want....I feel so lonely and useless....(random) I just don't know anymore....
lack of confidence........
Give tat Man A Tiger!!
maybe is your course in your private sch too relaxed..... and the standard is not that high? i dun know alot about accounting, but i believe that acca is quite reconised. if you score well in the acca exam den you may consider yourself good in accounting ba....... nowadays private school cert is like cert farm, no standard one.
Then why do the others fail everything at one go and the others got only C's or D's?? Why am I the only person that get A's? And I didn't proclaim that my accounting is good, because honestly, I haven't reach that level yet and you are right about one thing, private school is well....afterall, private school, I'm also abit skeptical about this one. And I need help in my ability to cope with work...arghhh
I got another thread at AA. I never mention much about my job over there. So decided to put this one up to emphasize.
Well, most of the ppl, especially foreigners came and pay so they can stay in sg longer... not really into studies you can say... so as in local u's and polys...

cos i got the same experience, i was from nyp, and my poly result is quite ok one (gpa 3.8++) almost every subject can get A...... but everything changes when i got into NTU, i only can get B's ..... sometime is the moderation(if you score in that paper so does everyone else), in poly most of the student quite relax one, so you if you study you will score. But in uni, everyone are very competitive, especially those foreign students. If i look back, i think that my poly education was just a introduction(if study hard one or two day before the exam can get A's). i think you will know how i feel if you starts to take the ACCA exams.
ok..so as not to drive the topic off. I decided to delete that whole paragraph.
So what should I do?

University obviously is competitive. Look at my friend studying for his Master's. Everyday mug and mug and mug. I really think he no life. Not like me, slack and slack and slack. I can slack like hell now, but not the next time if I plan to pursue higher studies.
But that is next time la, I don't have the funds now. I am piss poor man. But do studies really correlate with working??? I heard working apply the basics stuff (at entry level)

is your attitude of doing things. the skill that every job requires are different, unless you are talking about those labour intensive or blue collar jobs. if a job only requires the basic stuff than everyone can do it, and i think the pay is not high. for professional jobs, i do think that you will need the knowledge you learn, although not all of what you learned in school will be used. if you are a slack and carefree person, you may wanna work as a freelance or those jobs that are slack. i heard accountants work load is quite high, if you cannot take that kind of life, better change you job sector.
cert is just a ticket for entrance to the carnival...unless u do smthg about ur job performance, ur cert is only a worthless piece of paper. The problem u highlighted here is ur job performance not ur level of education I presume. Everybody in this country have this misconception that high education = success in the corporate world. That piece of paper can only do so much to promote u to go into the labour market.
It's your lack of confidence that's pushing you down.. think positive. I know it's easier said than done, but how are you going to succeed if you won't do everything for you to succeed?
Stop complaining and do what you oght to do..
