You made a grevious mistake - you failed to impress your interviewer.
As you are in sales, the greatest mistake you can make is not 'selling yourself'. It's all about sales, and in a nutshell, your confidence to make a sale, which in turn, will profit the boss. You cant even sell your capability to the interviewer. Experience and the lack of it can be overcome with enthusiasm, confidence and interest.
If you even failed at the initial stage, you are gone case and no one, no one will ever hire you. Production work, with no customer contact, may be suitable instead.
Some fake it, but in time, with no sales, they get the boot. If it is boutique job you want to excel in, then you must at least read up on some fashion rags, on the latest trends people will buy. If its a high class one, then you better be knowledgeable about high society, the big names in the fashion industry, the buyers, clients and designers.
No boss will pay for a flower vase. Every stage - from entering the interviewer's door to closing the door will you be assessed. Your personality, your smile, your eyes, your confidence, your hair, makeup, dress is vital and critical, even though it may just be a retail sales job. More so in these difficult times.
So, best buckle up if you want that job. There are hundreds others, and thousand others PRs/foreigners salivating for it. Dont lose out.
Good luck.

Hi cactusjack,
There do are a lot of part time jobs that do not require experience, such as working as fast food restaurants, flyers distributors, carrying of goods...etc.
But do note that such jobs usually do not pay well.
Cheers.
they just dont want to hire u. is not that u no job experience
CactusJack,
I'm a trainer in a marketing outsourcing group, and we are constantly looking for part time sales executives or full time marketing management trainees. My office deal with telco products such as tv and internet. Job experience is not required as training would be provided, but of course we would expect you to put in efforts both on the training and the sales results.
If you are interested, do drop me a line at 96941382.
