Has anybody here work at MDIS before?
How was it like?
Recently I got a job offer by MDIS. Got a 2 year contrcat to sign can't leave within 2 years or compensate 2 motnhs salary.
Got a feeling that got high staff turnover rate than got such a crap policy.
But if really got high staff turnover rate what is the reasons that cause it to happen?
as wat?
lecturer?

TS depends on yourself. yes their HR policy like this is crap, due to staff turnover rate, this you are right. there are a lot of stupid polices there. you go ask people who have worked there before.
depends on yourself really. you have to work there to judge for yourself. last time their policy is like, work for less than 1 year, pay 2 months salary. now I suppose they have changed this to a 2 years compensation.
by the way which department and what designation you worked there?
I don't have friends who work there before so I can't ask them
Mine is just normal admin job lah.
u work there first lar, is the advise I give you since you already signed the contract. work till economy improve and then find another better paying job lor.
for the 2 months compensation, you can ignore that, no need to pay them 2 months for quitting within the 2 years. refer to MOM FAQs in this regards.
so far TS, whats your impression working at MDIS? care to share?

Haven't start work eyt. where is the mom faq? show me the link or copy and paste it here
work in private schools u serve the students like they are customers
I can tell you that MDIS is managed by its council members. they are the throne behind the powers and they are not even paid, just volunteers. the management ie full time staff paid does not have the real powers. even the directors there are useless, they have to listen to the council members, cannot make any real decisions. the senior director there is an old hag, working there for 10-20 years plus. on the outside, she look dumb looking, but in the inside, she is sinister, beware.

yes ask the students, present and ex students studying there and ask them for their thoughts.
so why high staff turnover rate?
y turnover rate high?
1) they dun pay well
2) policies sucks
3) job sucks
4) this is the most sucky of all, management sucks. refer to no 2, why policies sucks, cos management were the ones making these sucky policies.
TS, your pay got 2k at least? i think not.
I tell you, a senior manager there, pay is 3.5k nia. director pay can be 4k nia. sucks right.

1. How is the salary like at MDIS?
2. Got any examples of policies which they implemented that sucks?
3. As for job sucks, I think every company you to go you will say the job sucks. Its human nature to think in this way.
4. Same as point 3. Its human nature for people to go to a company and than start thinking of all the bad things about the company/management and think it sucks. There is no perfect company/management in this world.

you go work there and then judge for urself lor. and then come back here to post if it is good working there in 6 months to 1 year's time if it is good working there.
ok lar give you a hint. every staff, need to write a suggestion, called management report. for staff who are not executive and above positions, you only write once a month, on anything. if you are exe and above positions, you write twice a month called the bi-monthly report.
I pity those who read these reports. they will read and then the report is returned back to the department.
