MOM would help for people earning 1.6K and above. They do have a dept dealing sorely on this. However, Employment Act only cover people earning 1.6K and below. In other words, MOM would then look at your terms of your employment letter to see if you have a case.
However, i am not sure if your employment letter is unfair to you, would it still be valid? I believe this would fall in a grey area.

how u know MOM got dept to help people not covered under employment act? u seeked their help before is it?
I had studied HR legistration before hence i know. The lecturer told me so but i cannot remember the dept name.
However, i believe the extend which MOM can help you as compared to employee covered under EA is much lesser.

What it means is that if you earn more than SG$1.6k,
- You are not given the priority of claiming your salary first before paying off any of your debts to the company
- The commissioner do not have the right to ask about the amount owed to you by the employer
- The hours you worked can be more than as stated by MOM, and the amount of rest days and holidays can be less than as stated by MOM, in accordance to the contract of service which you signed with your employer
- Subcontractors for labour are also considered as employees, thus the above three apply to them as well.
By the way, this means that if you do not owe any debts to your employer/company, you can make a complaint to get the salary owed to you.
Cheers.
Most people do not owe any debts to their employer so that means they can make a complain to get the salary owned..

do u know the consequences if the employee does not want to serve 2 months or pay 2 months pay to the company? can MOM help in this regards?
MOM would look at your employment contract and would give you advice based on that. MOM would usually act as a mediator.
I advice you to make an appointment with MOM, take half day leave and bring all relevent documents down. They are the best person who can advice you.

Must be a scam job..
All the jobs I work before including temp and part time job the letter of employment will indiacte your salary and the letter of employment is printed on paper with the company's name, address and contact number..
