A job as a insurance agent

Do you think it is possible to carve out a career as a insurance agent?
When you walk on the streets you see alot of insurance agents approaching people to buy insurance from them. But many of these passerby don't even want to listen to them and they will just shake their head and quickly walk away.
Moreover, the average worker in singapore probably will only buy 1 or 2 insurance policy in their entire life and it will probably be a cheap one too maybe $50 to $200 premium a month.

well property looks more viable..it depends on yourself..do you know yourself??an average person in sg does not just buy one or two policy in his or her life time..this is a misconception..
there are many reasons people hate insurance agents..and there is also good reasons why there is such high turn over rate..pm me if you wanna know more about this trade..

Foreigners come here to work for 1 or 2 years than go back why will they want to buy insurance for such a short time..

Average person in sg earns 1k to 2k a month..how may policies you expect such a person to buy?

You get to know alot of chio bu. Also you can chose to work in banks which pay you basic and commission

say we have a regular guy age 20+, worked for awhile liao...with a bring home income of 1.4k..after expenses...say he got $100+ for budget..he might be able to get 2 policies..+ a medishield and a rider for it..den invest his cpf..it looks like at least 3 policies in that instant....as salary can be expected to rise...and live cycles will change..he will be getting more...prob is will it be from u...

definitely! a few of my frens are in the insurance industry and they are doing so well. I heard from them that selling insurance is not difficult..the difficult part is to get yourself disiciplined and follow the working time-table. Their lifestyle also changed....from going overseas every year which is fully paid by the company to changing their cars every few years. *envious*
