Haiz.
I am a 20+ year old guy who is a diploma holder from a local polytechnic and has 2 years working experience.
Everytime when I need to find a job, I will have to go for more than 10 jobs interviews than I get a job.
Is this normal or is it my interview skills got problem?
My friends all seem to get jobs very fast and they are also about the same age, qualification and experience as me.
They go for about 5 job interviews and get 3 job offers while I go for more than 10 interviews than get a job.
I wonder is it my interview got problem
You need to build a sustainable competitive advantage, either through a cost advantage or product differentiation. Also, develop a clear value proposition that supports your employer's business and corporate strategies.

It would be better for you to list down for us what questions the employers asked and how you replied them. You could also list any special actions which you have done in a bid to secure your job.
dun compare with others lar. it also can depend on whether the hiring manager is comfortable working w you. it could be alof of applicants are applying, so dun blame yourself if you dun get the job.
what u could do is to prepare for the interview well, anticipate the type of questions asked during the interview and also research on the company and position first. also project yourself as confident and your personality.
its a matter of time before you get the job. remember looking for a job is a full time job.

wah. if I list it down here, what if next time I go for job interview and that person ask me the same questions and he/she happen to surf sgforum too and remember that the answers given are the same than he/she suspects that it is me than how
Well, there's your problem - you spend more energy looking for problems than for solutions. If that attitude's coming through in your interviews, you're just telling people that you're not the 'can-do' guy they're looking for.
In life, some may have an easier time than others , dont give up. : )
You: 10 applications--> 10 interviews --> 1 offer
Your friend (probably) : 10 applications --> 5 interviews --> 3 offers
Being able to be called for 10 interviews means that your resume or CV are rather impressive .. the problem could lies in your interview ..
Do spend sometime reviewing your interview skills, probably could consider consult your school's career consultant ..
are you a quiet person?

interviews are like presentation. your model or idea might be great but presentation sux customer or boss don't get it then gg liao
preparation wise did you prepare well? like know what kind of questions might be asked, what is company's background, how you prove you can be an asset. your communication skills zai?
sometimes..still depends on luck...

what type of jobs did you apply? I also took a lot of interviews, mainly because I went for jobs that were not in area of expertise or degree.
The one interview I went for that was related to degree, they offered but I rejected.
try to act curious and ask the person who interview u a question... kinda works on me!! but dont like ask him/her questions that has an obvious answer la

Why not? If the offer's no good there's no reason to take it, is there?
A while back, one of my company's competitors approached me with an offer - I'd met the boss at a conference and I seem to have made an impression. Anyway, we sat down for a coffee and I heard her out. The money was better but the job itself was not particularly challenging, so I said I was flattered, thanked her and turned it down. I haven't regretted it yet - the money really wouldn't have made a difference to me, and I would have gotten bored.
