who intend to be a doctor in future?
5 years of MBBS and 1 year of Housemanship.
being a doctor is a calling, not a job.
It is a real tough job. Really! Much is demanded from doctors.
arbo doctors are well paid lol
studying for the MBBS takes 5 years liao
high pay but high stressed, high skilled, many OT with 24/7 standby on-call back to work
and then if 1 major mistake in the hospital (write wrong medicine name for prescription, cause Table Death in operation room, wrong clinical diagnosis...etc) will need to write report, then kena panel interview by the singapore medical council, kena warning letters, risk temporary suspension or permanent revoke of practising doctor licence...
High investment, high risk, high returns.

hey you are dealing with humans seek treatment here. how can a doc prescribed wrongly for medication for patients? will u still trust your doc if he/she prescribed wrong medication for you? it is a serious case here, if the patient ate the wrong medication and develop complication or worse case scenario, died, the doc will need to be brought to court sued for negligence and lose his/her license.
but that is not the problem facing doctors. they should not be too concerned about this. they should be concerned on the patient, not the cons of the job. medicine is a calling.

u know how r doctors' handwriting can goes... can be so cursive, can be so un-readable (e.g. write like 'caterpillar') by others... that some nurses and pharmacists have trouble deciphering what the ... the doctors r writing...

there r even resting room / sleeping rooms for hospital staff...
meaning they can dun even go home after work... they can do some research in their office, then if tired, they can sleep in the rooms, then later wake up, bathe, freshen up, n then straight to work... all can be done in the hospital... like a hotel...
