Let say, a diploma graduate all the while has been doing those O / N level jobs because the person is unable to grab a diploma level job due to various reasons. What is the chance of this person securing a diploma level job when the economy recovers? Will this person still be doing O / N level jobs due to no experience in diploma level jobs? How many companies today are willing to employ a diploma graduate (not fresh graduate) with no related experience?

I have a friend who has an engineering diploma, worked as a boutique sales assistant for a year or so after ORD, then joined a Japanese MNC as a technician. What type of diploma does the person has?

There is always chances of people being hired. Rather than talk directly about related experience, do note that every job u do can be considered experience as you will normally learn something from any job you do which can be used to sell yourself.
At the very least, you should have learn how to communicate better with people, time management etc etc skills which are not very job specific but can be used in almost any job out there in the market.

This people do their own business and not doing a job lower than their education qualification.
it is different running your own tze char stall and helping someone to run his tze char stall.

If the O/N level job are simple jobs like waiter, security guard etc, than I think the chances of getting a diploma job is low as most employers look down on these jobs..
