working hours and salary of security guard

Security guard use to work 12 hours a day, 6 days a week and earn $1400.
Recently I read newspaper I see some security guard agencies paying security guard a salary of $1600 and don't need experience also.
The best part is they offer 5 day work week 9 hours a day, machim like office jobs like that and they still got what performance bonus, weekly pay lah etc. So good sia.
Does anyone here know whether this is true anot?
Because I did not go down to the security guard agencies to check with them. I wonder if this is true.
Could it be nowadays very hard to find security guards and there is always a shortage of security guards that is why they are offering $1600 salary and 5 day work week?
And I think security guards they cannot hire foreigners that is why maybe they lan lan increase the pay and benefits so more singaporeans will join?
And if security guard can earn 1.6k and work 5 days a week, than I think no point go and waste time and money to take diploma or degree liao.
Everybody should go and work as security guard better

however, i read in the news that security guard nowadays pay quite high, around S$1400 - S$2000++, which is way more respectable than pathetic admin asst job.
only that u need to work shift, though.

one of the good points about security guard is that they don't really have a boss or immediate superior to report to, unlike in office, whereby got manager always give u lots of stress and face the stupid computer the whole day.
however, security guard also got one bad point, and that is, local girls, when they hear you're a security guard, well.....their impression of you drops to rock-bottom, even if your salary is the same with office executives (security guard in SG is very unglam job).
of course, if you already has gf, then no problem.
but not everyone can be security guard, though.....for people like me so petite, who would be scared? trouble-makers and bad guys would think i'm the joke.

Just throw the money at the girls and they will know the power of a security guard.
Petite people also ok because got shortage of security guard so they will just accept you

Not all security guards work 12 hours a day. If there are 3 shifts, they work lesser than 12 hours
