This morning saw an old man (probably 60+), reading a stack of training notes (lotus notes 6), flipping the pages nervously.
I 'kaypoh' and look over his back, and saw those tiny English words .., those notes are more suitable for an undergrad, more suitable to those who are seeking for certificaiton, those detailed notes talked about mail forwarding, encryption, email groupings ...
At first look, that old man looks more like a job seeker, rather than one seeking for certification (which organization now use lotus notes other than our Civil Sectors?) ..
I pity that old man, and I pity the older, uneducated or little educated, job seekers ..., they are forced under circumstances into paper chase, chasing after a useless paper...
Is it necessary to subject our older, dignified, little or not educated job seekers to such unnecessary stress? In the end lotus notes is just simply an emailing tool which one can be pick up easily.
Unfortunately I have not struck a conversation with him, I would have rest assured him that one can pick up that Lotus Notes in 1 hour, and his knowledge in Lotus Notes won't be a decisive factor of him having that job.
I wondering who could have placed him in such tough ordeal.
what may come easily to you may not come easily to others....
what may start out as kind intentions can also backfire...
I think our training institutes have to be more humane, should have tailored the course to the needs of their trainees...
Those notes that I managed to peek over are notes that I think more suitable for an undergrad.
it would be nice if everyone is nice to everyone else, wouldn't it ?
yup, that's my intention for writing on this incident!
