  Got anyone here work as a telemarketer before?

   

  How is the salary and commission like?

   

  Is it really possible to work as telemarkter as they sell those banks credit cards etc and I think nobody want to buy 1 lor..

   

  Whenever I see people organising roadshows etc to sell credit cards, the people will all siam 1 lor. or telemarkters call people to ask them if they want to buy credit cards, the people will all say busy than hang up the phone.

   

  I heard that the basic pay of a telemarkter is only $1000 a month which is very low..

  Basically I find working at road shows more easier to get customers than telemarketing.

   

  I know of someone with only secondary education can earn 3k per month from road shows.

   

  The trick is very simple, keep approaching people, sure have people who will sign up.

  You only talk about those who succeeded but not those who failed as telemarkter..

  I went for training as a telemarketeer b4. Its a shit job la.

  You need to say the standard things on the phone based on how your superior trained u to say...

   

  Its like they have a standard script for u to follow.

   

  Its like...

   

  If customer says this, how should u handle etc, etc.

   

  The job is repetitive. Keep calling and calling, keep saying the same old things again and again.

   

  I went for training and in the end, i didnt join becos it just sux lah. It was not what i expect.

   

  And yes, the pay sucks too.

  I did credit card road shows b4.

   

  Its more lively compared to stucking there in the office facing the phone every single day right?

   

  At least if u join roadshows, u get to meet people face to face and u get to travel to many places to set up road shows. Its not static.
