Hi everyone, I've some confusion about the career of Singapore public servants, since I'm actually a new comer.
Is it commonly seen in Singapore that one starts career as a public servants, and later switches to work for commercial firms or companies?
It seems to me that working for the gov indicates a comparasively stable job. However, it's undesirable if, as a result, people hold lower competency when they need a change, to work in commmercial enterprises.
So, is this stability bonded with limitations of development in competency?
Or, basically, is it a relatively stable job or not...?
No,
Just hesitating whether to work in the public section or not. Career planning is kind of difficult thing, arising...retrospective imagination and ...what I know about the country and its mass employment condition is so limited...â•®(╯_â•°)â•
