  What I know about japanese company is that  they pay really well salary .. but their rules are strict .. and promotions will never go to locals, most of the high levels personnel are japanese (mostly men .. not woman)

  Also it's likely that in a Japanese company they'll want you to follow Japanese standard for work and culture, and so on. There may be discrimination toward a different way of doing things or way of thinking.
