The Singapore F1 GP and KellyServices is such a screw up! Was suppose to get an update email from them with regard to the training/briefing after qualifying for the interview. No news from them or even any email (I emailed them to enquire the updates) after my confirmation mail I recieved on July 22nd. Called KellyServices today since the supposed training/briefing indicated in the email was going to be tommorrow Sept 25, to my astonishment, after 2 rounds of the service personal saying, "We will call you back!", the person in-charged finally called and say that Singapore GP has reduced their budget from the initial 150 buggy drivers (According to the interviewee, he said they needed 50 only, I'm not sure how it round up to 150) to 70. I told her, couldn't they have the courtesy of sending us an email earlier that we have been cut then to wait for us to call them? She claim that it wasn't really their fault but probably due to a communication breakdown with the SingaporeGP side and that the briefing was already conducted last weekend. Doesn't this show that they already got an update that a lot of us got cut, couldn't they as a proffesional recruitment agency or even the Singapore GP at least send an email to those who are affected.
With regard to cutting budget, they wages they offered was pathetic to begin with, what's more I heard that those involve in the F1 committee memebers are not paid a cent, they call them "volunteers". What's worse, these people who put in so much effort for the race were not even given a ticket to watch the race. This really sucks, and this really shows how ugly Singapore is, they want to get the best result and aim for the best in the world, but refuse to come out resources to get the result, instead they will take advantages of its people by not paying them the credit they deserve and still expect them to perform.
how about the other grand prix. are the people paid?
Well, waddya know.
It's all good business.
Recruitment agencies will squeeze as much as they can out of you.
If the client is offering $10 bucks an hour, they will likely take 5 out of the 10 and give you the remainder.
And when they can't pacify you on any of your grouses, they will tell you quietly that the client is at fault for whatever reason.
Go figure.
Really? You got such a experience? I have no problem with them for my job.
u 1st time go agency meh
There's a difference between recruitment agencies and headhunting agencies.
Really.
Well maybe you're the lucky few, cause if according to what she says, there will probably be more than 100 other supposed buggy drivers will be affected, I doubt they got much problem with other post since they are still searching for people to be ushers and such.
