Where can I find short-term jobs?

I'm willing to do just about any job that allows for a brief commitment, e.g. one month. I'm not seeking a high pay either; as long as they don't treat me as "sweatshop" labour, I'm fine with it. If anyone with experience or good recommendations can help me out, I'd be so thankful.

supermarket retail assistant / cashier?
some outlets need temp staffs for Christmas / CNY etc
period of serving.. this depends on the outlet
for temp staffs.. most of the time period of serving range from a couple of months to ard 6 to 8 month
but, salary as RA / cashier in supermarkets / hypermarkets are not high
i knew of some temp staffs whom are students on holiday,
after working there.. they cherish their studies at school even more

shift work meaning C/B/A/O
C = 12 - 9
B = 10 - 9
A = 10 - 6
O = Off
it is not exactly the time bcoz i lazy to type out the .30 so each of the time u +/- 30 mins lor. -
actually i think i can get good sales job for part-time, but dunno about 1 month.

C = 12 - 9
B = 10 - 9
A = 10 - 6
O = Off

eh, depends on when la. If sales period, all u do is stay at the cashier and entertain customers lor. If store is empty, then nth to do liaoz lor, fold clothes and slack. But luckily i will be working at North Point rather than go Expo, so far and so packed at Expo. Well.. a mishap and a lesson learnt from getting conned into a job by agent..lol good thing that lasted only 2weeks when i took my pay and left the job..

anyway supermarket cashier not really that easy to be..
can you memorize all the depts codes / price (not constance) / PLU codes and etc for each of the different fruits or veggies?
customer bring that to you.. you have to manually key in (no scanning) for many of such items -
all that matters to me is that if $$ lost u pay out of your own pocket.. which would = to free labour
