hmm..i'm not sure abt other data entry jobs..but mine in ntuc income is abt insurance & i'm a data entry & also a proofer..and my dept is for Life Insurance..den we have to enter those application data in the computer..if data is incorrect as to wat the form is required,we hav to call up the agent to confirm it as some are major problems or sometimes we can correct it ourselves if it's a minor problem..we hav to learn how to enter data & learn wat the policy needs..after entering,we have to submit it to 'Proofers' to check again..if incorrect datas are entered,they will throw back to us to amend it but will delay the issue of the policy..so it's best that no errors shd be made..hope it helps??
