For higher nitec and below, signing 2years (not inclusive 6months of HTA training) 10k bonus.
For diploma holder, signing 3years bond (not inclusive 6months of HTA training) 30k.
For MTE, 5years bond (not inclusive 6months of HTA training) 10k bonus.

I'm from normal technical, nitec, i sign on as a corporal. If you think you joining the force as equal rank as me and you think its fair, den go apply...
For me i completed my NS, so my bond signing period is 2years (not inclusive of 6month HTA training). For you, i think is under MTE scheme which is 5years of bond.
And i think spf would sponcer 100% of your education if you signing on with them. You can check on spf website or drop a message on their facebook page if you're interested :D
Silverseraphina, no harm trying to apply. But to wait 2 years is a long time. You might change your mind along the way. Why not apply during your 3rd year..anyway i hope theres no repercussion for not attending interview/test. A friend of mine turned then down during interview because he was unexpectedly offered a place in uni. Graduated 2 years ago and till date been rejected 4 times. We dont know why he was rejected but probably had something to do with turning them once. But its just speculations though

Well, I know very well I wanted to be a police officer since young. No doubt. But i hesitated coz I want to give myself a chance to go Uni come out be ASP. But i see my current CGPA kinda no hope so I just be sergeant can liao lah haha.
Thats what Im afraid of, too. Im afraid that they wont even give me a chance to go for the psychometric test. Plus if my GPA isnt very high I have a very very low chance even though im studying Digital Forensics, which is very highly sought after by SPF coz i heard oni got 20 ppl chosen for the Diploma sponsorship? haiss
Hmmm... If your fren really wanted to join why didnt he get them to sponsor his uni studies? Come out be senior officer sia!
If I cant join SPF maybe I join SAF lor... I think I can go OCS leh. Plus Army super desperate for girls.

I dont think it works that way. He went australia for 3 years to complete his degree. From my understanding, they'll only pay for your fees IF you are already an officer.
You might want to rethink again about joining the army. I have massive passion for the army and only recently got promoted to Master Sergeant. But i could never live the regimental army lifestyles and the many sacrifices you have to make (family, weekends, less sleep/rest etc). I also feel that the margin of error you can make is so small that at times you would have anxiety when doing things. Whats worst is that you are responsible for every single soldier under you, including those who are extremely blur and would do stupidest of things.
