Went for SA on 20th January. Waiting for medical(if i am lucky) or maybe 2nd interview. From what i know, 3rd-4th week after your SA is the so called danger zone. If after one month, no news, means good news.

We have many VSCs who joined and understood about the demands of the job and applied to be a Direct Entry Inspector. Puts you in better stead for the interviews too!

Stage 1 - Psychometric Assessment
Stage 2 - Interview
Stage 3 - Medical Examination
Classes are usually on Monday & Thursday 6.30pm to 10pm at Home Team Academy, where you will learn Criminal Law, Shooting and Police Defensive Tactics. :)

Go for diploma first before applying.. But the thing is.. I've ever applied for Diploma to further my studies, but got rejected too ): Am I that bad........)
For now these 2 questions are really all around my mind for years.. (really no joke)

Is your height very far off? If it is not too far off SPF will not be too particular. Anyways, good to hear that you have the passion. Do apply to be a VSC then, we do exactly the same work as the regulars do (frontline policing).

I've recently been selected for the SA and I'm concerned about the english proficiency test. I've got C6 for my english so I'm afraid I might fail it. Anyone can advice me on the test?

For my batch's SA, the english proficiency test was actually more like an essay/compo writing. You will get a random topic like, "Why do you want to join the SPF (i guess it mainly revolves around this topic). Don't stress too much about it, mainly use it as a platform to freely express your thoughts, at least that's what I did. I can't remember if there was an actual vocabulary/grammar test, but even if there was, it shouldn't be too hard. Neither of this should be a problem lah, will be quite simple/straightforward, it won't be like super hard, so really don't worry about it too much.
I would say prepare more for the interview, you can predict on some qns they will ask maybe let's say, based on your background. They will definitely sure ask the same question as ever "Why you wanna join SPF, etc etc". All the best! -

Went for medical today. Somehow a bit screw up, cause I'm nervous and during the ECG my heart rate was above 100.
Then just nice, immediately after check up, received a call asking me if I receive any enlistment letter.
