Hi all, been following this thread thru out my application since sept. Had just done my med check last thurs,04 dec, wondering how long more to wait for, before further news, quite jialat havent been working since i ord on sept, quite reluctant to get one at this stage.Thinking tt the application would be faster than 2yrs back, :(

mdsha - Dont worry about bmi. You can train inside HTA.
ahxian90 - I would suggest you look for a full time job first if not contract at least. The real waits is after medical. My medical is on 2nd Sept and I am still waiting. Usually if you touch wood fail medical, within 2-4 weeks you'll receive letter. But if not, just need to wait.

finally pick up the courage to apply after hesitating for a long time because of high bmi....but after reading what u guys experienced, i think my 25+ bmi shud be ok bah...praying hard

Hey DanT, yep i just applied for a part time, another waiting haha, had to turned down a frend's job offer due to it needed 1 yr commitment. This last part sure is nerve wrecking, hopefully some of the medical history doesnt hinder my application, :X as u will nvr noe how the medical screen went. Dant,u been waiting quite awhile; hope u get notify soon, and those who re waiting after their medical.

FifthBusa, hey glad that u applied the application, ur bmi isnt really off the chart, if u nvr try, u wouldnt noe, they would have see how u look in real life, thats y the full body shot photos sent to them later stage(maybe) bmi doesnt tell the whole story. If u ask me, im barely making the cut for it as well, im fairly short, standing at 1.6, im trying my luck still, 2nd attempt here, was told to sent a full body photo during previous round, guess its to check.hhaa

Hey guys!! I just got a message from them inviting me for 2nd interview!! Can I be excited? The best thing is that my best friend who went for the SA few weeks earlier than me was also given the same date for 2nd interview which is 18 dec.. What should I prepare? What kind of questions would they ask? My SA interview the 3 officers asked me mostly on my Fitness Training experience when I was working at fitness first back then.. Do advice!

Ahxian - yes , I am probably one of the longest one . My total application has been going into the 7th month . Due to my education , which they want local cert and my tattoo clearance , I can only hope for the best . Hopefully can enter by January although I guess it is a little hard .
iszilliana - congrats to you for going into 2nd round of interview . I guess nowadays everyone has to go through 2 rounds . It doesn't matter If your friend going second interview earlier than you . Most importantly is you are going into interview too . They will usually ask similar questions like your first interview . Like strength weakness , knowledge about Spf . Fitness etc . Hope it helps

Hey usually 3 weeks and longer, if u lucky enuf u get medical check up nxt, or 2nd interview once they get all the Keep-in-view applicant, 1 and a half mths from my SA to 2nd interview.
Dant, yeah now being holiday season guess process might be even slower haha

hey guys i just wanna share wif u guys about my 2nd interview today. total 9 candidates turn up for 2nd interview, the rest is SPO SA.. anyway what happen? -tell me about yourself -why u wanna join police force. -what is the difficult moments in your life? -what is the best moment in your life? -what is your strength and why? -do you know the core value in SPF? (i said NO) then he told me and one of it is INTEGRITY,so.... THE LAST QUESTION IN THE TOUGHEST!!! -WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU FOUND OUT YOUR MUM STOLE SOMETHING?????!!!!!! IM LIKE OMG!!!! I said to be fair for my family and the law, i would interrogate my mum and if she is found guilty, i would bring it up to my superior and let him take this case. IM SO NOT CONFIDENT ABOUT THE INTERVIEW!! finger crossed!!

Hey guys.. Is it possible for someone to get rejected after medical checkup? What are the percentage ? Cause my friend just finished poly, have not serve NS, apply for JPO and went for medical check up and then got rejected..

Hey guys, just found this topic and im so happy! So much of information and experiences shared here! Well im one of you guys! Still waiting for a reply after my medical. Here's my timeline!
23rd Aug - Submitted Online application
26th Aug - Received Email for SA
4th Sep - Selection Assesment and first interview
23rd Sep - Got a call from Shenton Medical to fix an appointment.
25th Sep - Went for Medical
And now its been like what? 3mths++

Iszilliana - percentage is not high , usually people fail medical means really something happen to their health .
disturb - don't worry . Usually it takes a month plus to 2 of waiting time before medical . Real waits start after medical .
mafinnan - wow your medical is similar to mine . I did mine on 2 sept . No news means good news . Try give them a call and ask for updates . Hope it helps !
