A wonderful Happy New Year to everyone, for those who are still waiting for the result of your application regardless of which stage you are in, I will share with you all my personal application timeline hoping to answer some of your doubts and queries.
My Application Timeline:
31 Oct 2013 -- Submitted online application
05 Nov 2013 -- Received email notification for selection assessment
11 Nov 2013 -- Selection Assessment
14 Nov 2013 -- Panel Interview
04 Dec 2013 -- Received call and email from for medical appointment
06 Dec 2013 -- Medical check up
08 Jan 2014 -- Received call and email from SPF recruitment
14 Jan 2014 -- Bond Signing Session
17 Jan 2014 -- Appointment Formalities session
20 Jan 2014 -- Report to HTA for training

seems that you are in Squad R2/14 right? Hope to see you in HTA soon. :D I am left with two months in there. One thing to remind, no camera phone and charger.

Welcome people to SPF :) have fun during training. Remember 3 things, pass ippt, shooting and law to be at the safe side. Life inside isn't torturous or anything. Just exercise, drills, law, defence training and shooting.

Thanks for the heads up! How about swimming? Cause i can't swim haha

Don't worry about swimming bro! They will teach you. Most likely those swimmers will learn advanced techniques like how to save people all. For you, you will be taught how to swim. But im not sure about swimming coz I've heard they've changed it to aqua jogging. Either way, swimming theory is more important than swimming itself. ^^

So is swimming a criteria to pass out?

I would say no. Just pass the theory so you dont have to come back and sit for retest

been 10 days since my selection assessment. wonder how long more then they will notify me.
btw guys, just to ask ar, i need to submit my school leaving certificate/testimonial.. where do i get that? if its referring to the secondary school, i dont have it anymore, any advice?

Well, 7 days for me. I hope no news is good news!
I need to submit my secondary school leaving cert and testimonial too. Can't remember where I kept them.

i called up my secondary school, they says most probably they dont have my leaving certificate already cos too long ago lol. nope, i haven done panel interview, only the selection assessment only :(

haha yup. hope so too. really wondering when they will notify me again for the next round like the medical checkup or panel interview.

I don't know what happen but from what i know, normally we will know when is the panel interview on the selection assessment day itself. Most of us went for the panel interview on the same day as the selection assessment, i was told to come back 3 days later because it was full.

the panel interview is it will have 3 person in front of u and ask u questions? if it is, they asked me questions like do i intend to further studies when i join the force etc.

yes, that was the panel interview. so the next stage for you is the medical check up. it will usually take 2 to 3 weeks time for don't worry, no news = good news.

wondering inside as a sign on regular, ippt need to maintain at least a silver or just a pass also can?

I was told by my friends in the force that it's better to maintain a silver.
Anyway, it's been 8 days for me!

I heard minimum you need to pass in order to pass out, but like what arcadefire said, it will be better if you can get at least get a silver or even aim for gold.
