back from MIA liao !Originally posted by Kenashi:Hi skinnybeanie, u going MIA soon?
if u are using NAV, it eats ram and cpu resources, that's why I turned to SAV..Originally posted by the Bear:symantec as in norton?
that's what got my PC almost mortally wounded... the anti-virus thingy was shut down for 2 weeks without me knowing about it and it kept telling me everything was okay... and i was paying them subscription too!!
so i checked the task manager, CPU utilisation almost at 100%!!
downloaded a spyware killer and it killed about 200 spyware progs...
so i wandered to the pirate, got Panda AV and ran it after killing norton... gave me about 3 pages worth of trojans and other scary things, spyware that the spyware killer missed and misc other things...
after putting in win xp pro (the real mccoy), and with Panda, never had problems anymore...

there's a tab that says "performance"
will show you a graphical representation of CPU usage...
and.. hmmm.... when i right-click on the bar at the bottom (where the START button is) a menu pops up.. and i get to select task manager
maybe the company disabled it.. coz at work, everything is disabled... we can't even access the c: drive!
