there is no free things in this world. good things always comes at a price. you asked why can't christian stuffs be free, have you ask yourself why not?
i know there's some people who overkill the prices of bible and some ignorant people will fall into their trap. but if you knew the price isn't right and you still buy it whose fault is it? you're the one to be blame. same goes to a church, if you see a church preaches money and tithing more than anything else, leave it. that church is running by human strength and power alone, there's no God there. those are the money grubbers.
TS, basically nothing is free, your friend just decided to spend his money on this item... Just like people buy a LV wallet for hundreds while can get one that serve the same purpose below 10 bucks.
It is a matter of choice.

Not sure if that is fair....if you do go to Ren Ci Hospital and check out what they do on the ground, I don't think they deserved to be called scams.....but what happen with the managment do fit into being a scam.
IMO it is not the organisations but the people running it that matters....and people do make mistakes and will continue to do so.......

Wah, for a non-Christian, you certainly know the "market" very well.....but this kind of rubbish is specific to one "church" ......I know some others too but it does not means ALL Christian Churches do this.....
But I'll agree with you that what you mentioned really reflect badly on "churches"....and Christians.
