I say you bullshit.
The flood refers to Krakatoa 1883.
The flood in Isaiah can either refers to krakatoa in 1883 or asia tsunami they both fit those criteria they both happened in asia. both are directional. i don't know what happened in 1883, but i do know after the asia tsunami, there's a big whoha in asia as well as in the west. this also fit into luke 21 bible prophecy. The whole idea i'm trying to bring across is that the bible is alive! not some history book.
that's why the bible is so interesting. -

"Like a flood" doesnt need to literally mean a flood.
If you say that it is a prophecy of a flood - then it does matter whether who is actually quoting out of context. If not it sounded like a false prophet last time, when he says that singapore will be taken by a big earthquake....which didnt happen at the time of indication. Can the false prophet then say - oh, not this time.....later will come ? -
no, it's more to say that the devil can come in like a flood. but come to think of it , why west will fear the Lord? and glory to the rising of the sun (east) ??
Luke 21:25-26:
also have saying about end times. waves and the sea roaring. more earth quick. It's hard to tell the time, place, date through the bible. only people with the gift of prophecies.
for me, it's more to tell me and confirm what's around me that it's not from God. we comfirm things already happened, not fortune telling.
about those prophets that have that gift. i will not comment on that. -

To make things easier to understand, i do this slowly.with reference to
Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear
The name of the LORD from the west,
And His glory from the rising of the sun;
When the enemy comes in like a flood,
The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.
i believe it really means flood. Tsunami.
West is shaken (start to fear God)and as everyone CNN, BBC ,ABC call it the deadiest disaster.
Rising of the sun(asia), will see his glory, more people know God and many giving testimonies after testimonies on how God deliver them from Tsunami. And more churches went to help and spread the Good news.

I can say that the devil is still quite smart, he attack those seen by people as innocent/weak and use natural disaster. so people naturally point to God.
If devil sent earthquick and flood to Osama house and his camp, so God will be more glorified right?(people will praise that God destory Terrorism)
But in the bible it said that God's Final Judgement will come only in the End times which is close to Jesus second comming. There's still signs not fulfilled.
(i'm saying that God will not send judgement on anyone at this time. so that more will be saved).
(now when i search the interent, i found alot of people say it's God's judgement thus i wrote this)
still many believer or worst, preacher forgot what God said,
Genesis 9:11
I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."
(now talking about false prophets)
false prophets strike fear in the heart of man. Those people will eventually come to past (cannot stand the test of time)

let me summerise the story in simple format (hopefully)
a) Born again, belongs to Jesus.
Not born again, satan.
b)to be able to make people born again, the sin debts must be paid.
Jesus paid with his death. Anytime, any place if anyone call the name of the Lord, he will be saved.
c)authority given to Church. Church communicate to Jesus with help of the holy spirit. important that Church pray, and we pray for protection of the love ones and friends. We pray - God move.
d)Devil time is short, he will do anything to steal, kill and destory.
e)wait for judgement day. -

but nevermind......lets assume that Isa 59:19 "literally" means a flood. So...where is the "standard" ? Must be literal and observable also right...if going by your explanations ? -
