These evangelists are creating a lot of religious conflict in Asia .. they should be banned from peddling their ignorance in public places in Singapore.
Besides, who is to decide what is 'ignorance' and what is not? Do we want to give the State more powers to control us?
By way of example, some would proclaim that the Catholic Church is the bastion of ignorance. As a convert, I have come across such questions as 'why would an educated person like you become a Catholic?'
So, in the absence of any agreement about what 'ignorance' is, preservation of freedom is the best course of action.

The main Church itself is definitely not narrow-minded. We welcomed back a whole group of SSPX members in Brazil not too long ago. The Church set up a separate organisational structure to allow the former SSPX members to celebrate the Tridentine Latin Mass, amongst other concessions.

We do not go to the Church to be entertained. We go there to be fed by the Word of God, and the Body and Blood of Christ. We go there to pay our worship to God who is made present amongst us on the altar.
Within every human heart is a certain emptiness, that must be filled. It cannot be left unfilled. We will try to fill it with pleasure, highness, and very often the things of this world. But we cannot. That's why many people turn to drugs or drink when they are hopeless.
But no, we Catholics turn to Christ truly made present in the Blessed Sacrament, for He is 'the Bread from Heaven'. If we eat His Flesh and drink His Blood, we shall have life within us.
