Bible Discussion: Are cherubims idols?

This is the biggest paradox.
In the OT, God has no physical representation when He revealed Himself to the Israelities. He is either a burning bush or some funny cloud or light in the sky right? And those 'special visitors' (who has human representation) are always described as 'angels of the Lord'.
Jesus came as 100% human .. meaning this human representation of God is 100% accurate. Furthermore, as the Christians claim, Jesus never prohibit anyone from worshipping Him.
The question is - issit all right to worship an idol of Jesus Christ?

i am a forumer who does a lot of editing and stuff. i am glad that the moderators are lenient on me. they did not make any rules that editing should be less than 3 times.Originally posted by Icemoon:winner. . you really know how to change topic leh!!
i don't know much about foruming. last time i was in a south korean forum some buddhist objected and used politics on me. he objected to my evangelizing. so for the sake of the integrity and reputation of the gospel i just bowed out.
in here after i posted gospel stuff and other things. I did a lot of editing on my stuff. and i noticed that "yes....i could edit my stuff.......hmmmm maybe it's not 'illegal' here to edit posts. But here's one forumer who takes notice of my edits.....Oh.......Oh.......maybe........i am doing illegal stuff here in this forum.......could i be subject to banning again?...Oh.....oh......anyway i'll just continue.......if they [moderators] gave me a warning..........then i'll stop."
but they did not....so thanks for the grace that they showed me here inspite of my inaccuracies here unlike in that south korean forum.

its annoying yes, but not forbidden, even if you edit your post 1001 times
spamming is not allowed though, same goes for advertising -

I realize in those less traditional protestant service, the people sing with their eyes closed and arms outstretched. I suspect they are worshipping some mental imagery in their mind. If they are imagining Jesus Christ, then the image won't be accurate also.
So using the same reason, in my opinion, worshipping a physical image of Jesus Christ is no more heretical than worshipping some mental imagery. -
