So fundies should not criticise the RCs for having statues of saints in church.
I hear they have works of art about angels and other stuff. Though i don't necessarily agree that this is what the angel Gabriel look like or the other angels for that matter. But it's good to see the imagination of my other fellow human beings put into tangible art form. I love to see the talent that God has given these great artists. I hope they did not worship these works of art when they were alive.
P.S. i will pray to God to give me grace not to worship these works of art if it happens that i am greatly awed by their great beauty when i get there for that would be sin.

idols are images that replaces the true worship of God. God commanded the Moses to make the ark of covenant with the two cherumbims, He did not ask them to worship the images but rather among the cherubims will His Presence rests and it is God they are to worship. -

Catholics do a half knee to this 'idol' (sometimes it is a cross?) above the altar.
