  i told my wife liao, when i die, dont do a tombstone for me....cos it is just my mortal body. nothing to clean and bow to about.
  
  hugging a photo of my wife - errr.....at most look at her photo in my wallet nia cos i miss her mah.... ermmm that doesnt mean i worship her. 2 different things.

  i think.. by their standards, cherubims themselves are not idols. they were respected as important emissary from heaven. maybe back in the past they kiss the feets of people whom they respect a great deal? like kings, etc.
  
  its when they stopped praying to god and start believing something else is better and devote all their time and attention to, den its worship. isn't it?

  Lets see, personal view is that respecting/adoration is different from worship.
  (you can have the former without the latter, but you cannot have the latter without the former)
  
  
  on the Cherubim subject, these are angelic beings, by themselves, they are not idols, its the statues that people made and used in worship that are being refers to a an idol.
