Beowulf is a 2007 fantasy film directed by Robert Zemeckis. The film is an adaptation of the Anglo-Saxon epic poem Beowulf and was made using a special technique of digitally enhanced live action (utilizing, among other technologies, an advanced form of motion capture). Beowulf will be released on November 16, 2007 and stars Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Robin Wright Penn, Dominic Keating, Alison Lohman, John Malkovich, Crispin Glover, Brendan Gleeson and Angelina Jolie.
Based on the epic poem, the film is about a man who comes to Heorot in order to rid it of Grendel, the monstrosity who terrorizes it. What he does not expect is Grendel's Mother.
While some of the film remains true to the original poem, other elements, such as the dialogue, the emphasized hubris of Beowulf and Hrothgar, the perceived hedonism in Heorot, the span of time before Beowulf fights the dragon, Grendel's motive for attacking Heorot, and the relationship between Grendel's mother and Beowulf deviate from the original poem. -

It is more like a chill out and get together session after that, especially for those of us who have been busy in the past few months. Do some catching up before and after the movie. The plan is to meet around seven and catch the movie and after that chill out for awhile.

Thank you for attending Beowulf Movie Outing & La kopi session! Due to the odd showtime schedule, we changed the venue & timing of movie, many could not make it due to the change. The showtime is either too early or too late, many either cannot make it in time at town from their work or the later timing is too late for them. Anyway i appreciate all who came. Show is so so, lots of special effects though, for a moment i thought its RPG game...hahaha Coffee session is fine too, maybe i will organise another one soon.

been a long time since i went to the cinema to watch a movie
had enjoyed myself yesterday
