How to mute Camera sound?

I just bought a Sony Ericsson K-700i.
Everything is good so far ... except for the irritating loud noice when taking photo using the phone.
Anyone know how to mute the handphone camera sound? ... firmware upgrade? -
cannot do that one. that is to protect gals' photo from being taken w/o permission

I know the reason why the mute feature has been disabled, but I don't give a damn about the reason. I just want to re-enable the mute feature, that's all. This is a phone I paid for it dearly, and no one can control how I intend to use my phone.
I know the current K-700i (and most other newer models) has been upgraded with firmware R2L001 which delibrately disable the mute in camera. But the older firmware R2A041 allows the camera mute to be enabled.
Does anyone know where I can flash the firmware in my handphone back to R2A041? -
Try switching on ur silent mode then take picture. May work.
I sell hp, feel free to ask me bout anything.. -
heh heh, & if you manage to take certain pics w/o the owners consent or awareness and they end up in undesireable places, think of how much dearly that will cost them? I see no reason why they can't allow us to MUTE the handphone camera sound, but we can use other camera to take whatever photo we want.
Btw, all my Malaysian friends' k-700i and other brand of handphones allow them to MUTE camera sound, it's only our "fine" country don't allow us to mute.

The firmware which diable MUTE in our handphone is specifically required by our govt, not by sony-eric.
That's why sony-eric phones (and all other brands) sold in other countries allow users to mute camera sound. -

Nowadays Digital Camera and Video Camera can be as small as palm size! ... very soon, it's be thumb size! -
