Singapore’s 4th telco is set to launch later this year, the Australian telecommunications company TPG Telecom announced earlier yesterday.
TPG Telecom is one of the largest internet, data and voice networks in Australia serving over 1.8 million broadband subscribers. After winning the bid to become Singapore’s newest telco a couple years back, the company is finally launching their services here.
As part of the launch and a bid to attract new customers, TPG will be offering free two-year mobile data plans to senior citizens aged 65 and above. The free plan will include a SIM card, 3GB worth of monthly data and unlimited calls to local mobile phone numbers.
TPG, however, did not reveal specific dates to the launch except for stating the second half of the year.
