I have been using 7/11 phones for a few years. I am going to get a smartphone soon.
I never own a smartphone before, and I dunno how to make sense of whatever the plans and the phone specifications are talking about.
Haven't decided on model yet, but want to check Singtel, starhub or m1 better?
When the site says "data bundle", that's data plan for mobile internet right, but it says "Free local data" on the singtel site, means only can go local sites for free? And how easy is it to exceed 12GB of data and will it be painful for my wallet?
Is wireless@sg reliable and fast, or does it make more sense to get a data plan? And I heard in places starhub's dataplan very unreliable, is it true?
And judging by the other topics in the forum, I'm guessing android phones are better than iphones, so I'm getting an android phone. But then, there is a lot of android phones, so i dunno which one to choose..
I am using M1 now, good and cheaper than STINKtel. STINKtel just rips you off. BTW, there isn't really a need for data plan or a Wireless @ sg plan. just use ur home wifi, or u will be glued to ur phone.
I'm a starhubber & with 12GB, u aren't likely to exceed but if you don't wish to get a bill shock then get those plans with unlimited data like what I'm using for my tabbie now..
im waiting to get out of the green pipe.
if u want an andorid phone, try samsung galaxy ace if u r budget tight....whats ur budget?

green pipe?
green pipe = starhub..
I got no budget at the moment and I am open to every phone, I'm leaning towards buying a phone in the 100+ or less range. But I am also considering the Galaxy S2, though I am a bit put off by the extra 200 dollars I have to pay to get it.

Thx all! think I going red pipe. Like no one like green pipe, and orange pipe can fail one. Phone, I go there first then see I like which one, everything looks the same on the internet.
I don't know the other two telcos, I'm with Singtel. But it takes forever to get through on the hotline. That I know for sure. If you hate that, don't sign with them.
