hi guys, i recently ported my number over to singtel. Around 1 month later, m1 "bombed" me with a 200 bucks lucky levy. WTF!
I did some research and found that there are many who have encountered this problem, and some even managed to have it waived.
I went back and read the fine prints on the contract/ reciept when i first signed up with m1 3 years ago. It wrote line is not transferable, and levy will be charged when transfered over to singtel/starhub.
Problem is , the staff that served me didn't even mentioned about this levy. He/she just told me there's a lucky number promo and told me to choose from it, for FREE. If anybody knew that they have to pay a 200 bucks levy when they change their SP, who the hell in their right state of mind will choose those lucky numbers?
And shouldn't m1 give a simple reminder to their customer when they notice that one of their customer is going port a number out? Just one like "a levy will be charged if you changed your SP, please consider carefully" will do.
Is there anything i can do other than lan lan accept it ?
Anyway this served as a reminder to all who are going to sign up for new lines, those lucky numbers are not lucky at all.
