Any handphone to recommend for Reservist ICT? No -camera..

  Hi,

  Any No-camera Handphone to recommend for reservist ICT ?

  I'm currrently using Nokia 6730.. i'm hoping to buy a Nokia model so that can use the same battery from my 6730 as back-up battery during ICT.. but i heard batteries nowadays are all different for each model ? is it true?

  I've also heard of the Nokia E51 no camera phone that is very popular cos of its many features but where to buy or is there anyone selling??

  Then of cos there's those 7-11 cheap phones wif no memory card slot, only can call and SMS..

  So any recommendations?

  Buy a ''radiophone''.A handphone with basic functions with the only frill:radio function.This way you can be entertained without breaking the rules.

  Thanks.. there are a few models similar to 1616's features.. I saw 1280 selling $45 and 1800 selling $55.

  Any comments on those models? Think battery life is top priority and second is some entertainment  like radio...

  basic phones have insanely long battery life coz there's nothing else to power apart from the receiver

  Hello all,

  Thanks for all ur helpful replies :)

  I've bought the Nokia 1280 for $38 few days ago on New year's day Eve :)

  Haven't really used it but whenever i take out the battery and put it back after a few minutes .. I'll have to reset the time and date ...

  It's an export set .. so no long term warranty.. the guy selling it say only give me 3 months warranty.. but then it makes some sense for them to buy it as export sets cos the repairing costs for a cheap phone like mine would outweight the price of the phone.. so no point giving it long term warranty anyway.. right?

  I have that model already but i dropped it twice before.. and the battery life is too low also.. 4 bars only.. runs out very fast..

  I've used the Nokia 1280 for my reservist already.. Wow! It's been 2 wks since i charge the battery fully and it's still got 3 bars left !!

  i using samsung dono wat model,i still using it till now since i was in ns 3 years ago.contaract still gt 8 more months b4 i can recontract.battery life amazing, charge once a week
