need help ! local 3g oversea ??

  Im going oversea soon and im not sure if i can use some of the phone function Im using iphone and singtel btw , is it possible to use 3G function there ? i know oversea call gonna cost a bomb , so how about sms ? oversea sms charges ?

  It will be roaming charges for 3G, and yes it will cost a very huge bomb. Even if its 2G network thru WAP, there will still be charges. Best is to just diable the APN on your iphone. No data, no charge.

  SMS could be overseas charge plus that country's local sms charge.

  if u are calling back to SG or calling to other overseas number, it depends on which network u are connect to over there....
  yes. for both calls and SMSes
  
  if u are thinking of logging onto the net while overseas, do not do so.
  just relax and enjoy the trip
  unless u are prepared to receive a shocking bill

   

  if u are going to be there for a long period of time, buy their local calling cards or those prepaid sim card.

  wifi and 3G got no link, other than the fact that both allows you to access the internet. wifi won't allow you to make overseas call or sms. And the wifi charges will be local, could be free, provided you can secure a signal first.
