GSM 850 / 1900

  Hi all,
  i recently brought a phone which supports only GSM 850 / 1900, which is not compatible with Singapore GSM. Is there anyway for me to use it? Like write to starhub to ask them to open up the connection? Anybody has better ideas? other than to sell it?
