move messages from one phone to another

hi, i'd like to ask if this is possible?
the messages i wish to move are stored in a nokia 5610D which i am about to retire from service. i want to move these text messages to my new phone, which is a nokia 5800. is there any way via software or saving the messages in an alternate memory such that i can move them? or is there no other way but to send all of them?

is there such a thing called PC suite for ur mobile..

I think PC suite can be installed in your PC to store messages from your old phone. When your new phones comes, you can transfer the messages from PC suite to the new phone. That's what I think.

If you can't find the disc, u can download the latest version PC suite from Nokia's website. Haha....

If there's a handful, it's ok. If there's like a hundred of them, I doubt the friend has the patience, unless you do it bit by bit each day.
