USERS who don't want to be tied down to a 12-month or 24-month contract now have a new option.
On Tuesday SingTel rolled out a new post-paid mobile phone plan that has no long-term contract - the first no-contract plan in Singapore.
'In the current economic climate, consumers would rather not be tied to contracts so as to retain financial flexibility,' said Wong Soon Nam, SingTel's vice-president of consumer marketing.
Users who sign up for this SuperSIM option pay the same price as the usual plans, but will get more talktime and free text messages.
There is no handset subsidy however, meaning users cannot buy cheap phones as they currently can with established plans.
Users must also be new customers or existing ones who have completed 21 months or more of a contract. They will also have to use this SuperSIM plan for at least one month.
I wonder how the demand will be....
but no free phone woah.. so in the end, people won't like it too...
Yea... if the phone is good... people will spend money to buy one...
