Just get it in Australia, it's already out.
In Brisbane, iPhone is populated. Almost everyone of my friends have one, except me.
Your angmoh kinda cannot make it.
when you say something is populated, it means its occupied by soemthing. ie.....its became housing for germs.....
no matter where you got a iphone, if the service provider cannot make it, its just another white elephant.
I also prefer the itouch. Frens was using iphone and blackberry in Seattle to sms and search online. Much like any 3g phone can do and its function still not as user friendly.

mainly, its the possibility of adding in applications to custom your needs, its touch screen and its user friendlyness and the platform its on.
seriously, which modern phone doesn't hang? iPhone, Symbian, other Mobile Linux and Microsoft Windows Mobile? tell me?
among the abovementioned, and having used before versions of N series, Omina, F480, HTC Diamond, Dual Touch, P1i, G900, iPhone both versions, Blackberry 7730, Windows Mobile platform is probably the worst in term of hang and its user friendlyness, its a great platform nevertheless but its processor would never be enough cope with the complexity of its programe,
not forgetting if you're into some tech stuff, you can even do your own "jailbreaking"
on your iPhone with programe from iPhone Dev Team (a group of hackers whom enjoy creating stuff to jialbreak iPhone) and be able to use it with lots of pretty exicting 3rd party software free.
however, touch screen is not for everyone, especially those who drive, without the feel of the keypad, messaging while on the move is a pain but i'm fine with it thou..
however, comparing such stuffs is always a pretty difficult thing to do, as all is personal preference/opinion hence there is no right of wrong, just use it with an open mind without bias and test for yourself which phone suit your type of usage...
