Does anyone have any experience (or opinions) about Sony Ericsson mobile phone batteries running dry very quickly?
I've a w880i which I charge up fully every night, owned it for about two years. Very happy with the music player, 2mpx camera, ultra slim form etc..
But..while using an original battery (not the pirated ones lol...came with the phone) after a day or two the battery runs out!! Usually while I'm out shopping so i'm stuck with a dead handphone, how inconvenient!!:P. My old Nokia phone had the same problem?! If this is a common experience I'd like to hear about it.

Aiya... Most Hp batt like this 1 la~ Lithium ion battery ma... They'll start to lose capacity from date of manufacture... how much depends on temp, not usage or recharge... U go wiki check lor... the batt can lose 30~ish% capacity per yr if operating at 40 degree C.
Slim batt suffer more because of lower capacity to begin with... IMHO...
Mine is w850i... oso 2yrs liao... but the drain still okok la~... last 2 1/2 days if i play music on earpiece for 1+hr a day... & no calls...

Since most hp batts are like that, if true, then I think i change brand to one that claims to have a higher talktime also no use...any body else can confirm..
no longer can collect current, time to change battery

Not exactly... Again depends on how you keep it, like i keep the screen side of my hp inside, so if i generate heat wont reach the batt first... Besides, temperatures rarely reach 40 degrees here, average more about 20~ish, so even if lose capacity oso about 10~20% only...
Can try higher rating... even if drop, you'll still drop back to normal-ish capacity... tt's y i didn't consider your model when i was changing phones... don't like thin things with battery...
phone settings > screen max brightness sure use much more. (use 1/4 can alr)
bluetooth> dont under estimate this bugger, it consumes loads. (off it)
Backlight> some are in standby some are in powersaving mode.
Hey dear the life span of a mobile phone is 1 year.. It's time for you to change for a new battery...
