yeahh i like playing ad-lib.. it's like, you can just change the music as you like, so long as you keep within the umm, keys and whatever... -

got offered a temp job at carnegie's bar but my guitarist couldnt make it, so had to turn it down... real waste... they're interested in the blues scene too so u may wanna check em out, perhaps get a job too... -

I've got an uncle who's already fifty odd years old, but as he played the electric guitar in a band in his younger days, he's now teaching the electric guitar in a music school it's never too late to start and drumming's such a popular thing among young pple nowadays.. I've got alot of people around me wanting to learn drumming more than playing the guitar you've got good prospects too
i hope one day i don't end up playing in restaurants

but cannot regret la at least i've got a job after i graduate. so for now just whack watever music i can first... just performed for peanuts at the singapore marathon. quite fun. was supposed to go jam wif the kolam ayer blues club n thomson cc jazz club but damn no time... u know la... sigh
why not restaurants? if the $$ is good... i guess environment also counts, but at the end of the day, a musician has to survive and if playin at resaturants gets the $$, then by all means. my highest paid gig so far was a jazz gig at some stupid hotel convention, had to wear full suit and play damn soft n constipated... din feel good till the paycheck came... trust me
