Why do you leave...?

Let say you are not happy with your boss, colleagues, salary and working environment in this company, so you quit and look for another job.
You go to interview for the new job. On the application form, there's a question: "Why do you leave your previous job?". How are you going to answer? In a honest way or not?

ok seriously , you could say you had a "clash of interests" or their "focus did not suit you"
I dunno. -
best be honest or maybe put some vague answer like "incompatible views with co-workers"? Or maybe this : "allergic to boss"

Sorry... me not in working world yet. But i would answer honest though it might put me in a disadvantage. But if a boss were to recognise honesty, it would be a boss worth working for.

they dnt let me come in late.... they dnt let me have 2hr lunches... they dnt let me go home early....

honesty honesty and honesty below is what i get for being honest with them, real honest. (all the post is the same mention below) bosses dun rule all the time.
in 09/98 with coy A paying 1.2k probation 6 mth, left 03/99, reason oni $30 increment.
04/99 with coy B paying 1.5k probation 3 mth, left 07/99, reason no increment.
08/99 with coy C paying 1.65k probation 3 mth, left 10/99 work oni 2 mth, reason coy engage me jus as law required them to do so, but unable to let me carry out my work in the coy.
11/99 with coy D paying 1.8k, comfrim staff rite away. 4 mth later increment of to 2k, left 05/01, reason change of policy, business 1st image 2nd.
07/01 with coy E paying 2.5k, probation 3 mth increment to 2.8k, left 11/02, reason end of project.
some more to go on till 2004 today but hey if the reason is genuine, dun worry you will not get a job, the coy is the one that loose out for not having you with them.
not much are like me keep moving, to the coy they will think I am job hopping unless they really read. it good to move around oso, for me from 09/98 to 03/01, a total of 17mth, 4 coy altogether get an increment of almost 100% where to find? anyway i am way below paid, market was abt 1.8k in 98. today market below 1.8k but I am asking for 3.5k and I am getting more than what I ask for.
I am a local but hey ppl forget abt the local boss, they dun pay worker but they pay themself 1st. those who read rich dad poor dad know what i am saying.

well, i told the truth...
i went in to work every day at 8:30am and leave at 9pm... if it's a good day, i may actually go off at around 7pm.. if it's not good, i'll be at work until 1am.. i don't wanna die in the office... -
I usually say that the work place could not offer me the career progression that i needed.
Works like a charm. And go on a bit about why you think this new company will! -

My reason if I leave my current position:
A bureacratic management system exists in my previous work that is very detrimental to future endeavours so I'm looking at better opportunities to re-evaluate myself and improve over time. The previous management had failed to integrate the importance of unity and establish proper flow and control over many issues. They were lacking in flexibility and opportunities. Thus, being at the lowest end of the hierarchy, improvements, suggestions were being rejected by incompetent superiors.
As a result, many competent colleagues left the profession and had taken other opportunities. Similarly I'm leaving so that I can get a more challenging, progressive job where I can anchor my life. -

why do i leave? cos i found that this current job is not my cup of tea. it wont be fair for me and the organisation to stay - they might as well find someone who is happier in my job so he can contribute, and i can go to a job i will be happier in too to contribute more.

The other day I worked till bloody 7pm, I nearly died. At the end, the computer screen was a complete blur. I don't know how you guys manage to do it!
I think long working hours is a valid reason for leaving a job. But it's a reason that you cannot disclose to a potential employer. -
