Tried out the Seamaster and Speedmaster - both tend to feel a bit too light, almost like they're hollow. I've spoken to a few people who have made the mistake of getting a Seamaster - invariably their complaint is that the links on the bracelet loosen and develop an irritating rattle after a while. For that kind of money, that's unacceptable. As for the Speedmaster, why would anyone pay so much for a watch with a plastic face?
Rather than a TAG-Heuer, I'd recommend looking at Heuers - they're a lot more classy.
Aulf, if you wanted a real 007 watch, I'd recommend the original Rolex Submariner with no date and no crown guards (model #5508, not 14060 or 16610) - this was the original watch described by Ian Fleming and worn by Sean Connery in Dr. No. -
