  Sheesh - every time I see Singaporean car prices I get a combined cardiac arrest and gastric ulcer. My Prelude in Melbourne is A$8000, in excellent condition with a dealer's 3-year warranty, and I'm sticking with it until I've bought a house. Cars are a shocking liability anyway - I tend to look at value rather than price tag.
  
  My second most expensive purchase, on the other hand, seems to be a winner. Picked up my watch for $6650 five months ago, and it should be worth about 7 grand now. Two months after I bought my watch, I passed one guy along to my watch dealer, and the best he could get was $6850.
