To me it's surprising mainly because people here keep saying how 171's demand have dropped so much after DTL2 and that it will be truncated or split... Pretty amazing it's still keeping the bendies.

Well, you need to observe where the loading comes from. 171 is the only service connecting BPJ to Yishun town. For Woodlands, you have 187, 963, 966 with HC fleet and superb frequency. On contrary to Yishun, only 171. There are timings when rigids cannot tank the load. It is not for the BPJ - Marine sector that they ply the bendies.

171 can be Yishun-BPJ and a new service under Bt Merah package from Marina Centre looping at Petir Rd
What's the deployment of the bendy buses moved to SBS transit. Some speculated this would be for svc 24 but seems it is all with Yishun feeders? Which ones are they choosing to deploy those few ones on? 811/812?

Well, Speculation is only 10 A24 and I think mainly to support Yishun feeders only.

Will be interesting to see how they split the A24s among so many feeders/intra-towns.

Maybe to support service 800/804/806 only
I still see A24s covering 807.
in the end, it's still up to sbst to decide which services shd the a24s ply on

Ya la,also feeder mah
Bendies are useful in Yishun feeders.. as an alternative besides DDs.

Those long distance feeder and townlink like 804,807,811 & 812 can use DDs,800,806 all can use SD/BDs.

Fleet of Citaro and A22 should be adequate.DDs better for 804,807,811 & 812

maybe on 24?
Out of 8A24, think 2 are still used as training for the time being.
Woodlands feeder 900 received its first DD... soon will have 901 and 903... seems like an end of an era arriving for Woodlands feeders.

800 doesn't need HC buses except for 2-3 trips during school hours. Can easily have DDs crossover from 806/807 at this time. 800 regular fleet should be full fleet SD. Same with 812. 806 also doesn't warrant full DD fleet. 807 is the one that sgould have a full fleet of 18 DDs.
Service 807 suitable for full fleet of HC, both DDs and bendies can use together.

I feel A24 more suitable for 900 & 901.903/911/912/913 all can use DDs.

913 cant DD.. you got it wrong alr..
If anything 900 and 901 are the ones fit for DD and the townlinks should just stick to bendies, maybe except 912..

I agree. 900, 901, 903, 911 are best fit for DDs. 912 (west loop) is okay with DDs but not east loop. 913 is a No-Go for DDs.
Bendies should be used on:
(1) 912 (east)
(2) 913
(3) 300
(4) 302
(5) 812 (but demand is not that high anymore, full fleet SD is ok now)
(6) 858 and other airport bound services.

As much I want something new like DDs on 913, its useless due to its short distance between west sector and WTBI, demand on 3 pair of bus stops ...
Observation 1: Not so much demand between WTBI and ADM Stn from 1900 onwards.
Observation 2: During Sundays/last day of PHs afternoon, there will be a lot of commuters from Woodlands Checkpoint which alight at WTBI.
The best is 903 based on the queues I seen during peak hours.
No matter what, SDs still required on Woodlands feeders/intratowns ...

I thought management always think intratown suit DD better due to its time and length?

Long routes ≠ suit DD..
Intratowns in Woodlands have extremely high turnover rates.. stops are near each other and many people simultaneously board and alight at multiple stops, and only travel for a few stops..
913 east loop alone plies Admiralty Stn twice.. one full loop will have the bus boarding and alighting at train stn 4 times.. it almost operates like tram alr, and doesn't rly make sense to put normal DDs as trams uh?
