svc 67 left with only one bendy bus. Though it is good in terms of reducing congestion in Little India, CCK and Tampines Interchange, it still feels weird; that weird nostalgic feeling.

Can someone monitor fleet for 302? While I was at YT, saw a huge number of rigids on 302, while 979 had 2-3 rigids, rest all DDs
I think 302 was plying on Friday with almost 50% rigids, while 979 was plying with 20-30% rigids.
Given 979 covers most of 302 route from Limbang to CCK Crescent, this is the way to compensate for loss of bendies on 302??
Future of bendies for CGA services. Allocation of 40 bendies for CGA services
24 - 05 (this can be monitored. 24's route is common to many other services until it hits Bedok - CGA section)
27 - 05 (the need for HC buses has reduced with launch of 118 and increasing capacity on other services bound to Tampines)
34 - 05 (still has v high loading inspite of 118 as it acts as intratown within Tampines estate)
36 - 05 (heavy loading from Marine Parade to Suntec)
53 - 10 (heavy loading from Serangoon to HG 1 and PSR to CGA)
110 - 00 (most of the loading is from TPE Punggol to CGA, to alleviate loading on 858)
858 - 10 (heavy loading, deserves more bendy allocation than currently has)
** The shuffling of bendies between these services could change based on loading changes. For instance, if 127 is extended to Compassvale, this could further eat into some of 27's loading and hence, 27 may not need the bendies. Likewise for 36 if they introduce a service from Siglap to city, no bendies required because loading between CGA and Marine Parade is low.

Future of bendies -
16 - 4 bendies
24 - 2 bendies
57 - 1 bendy
145 - 3 bendies
160 / 170 - need at least 20 bendies
195 - 6 bendies

16 can use DDs. 145 is already using DDs. If bendies were okay for JB, 950 would have got them long back....

16 couldn't have DDs back in the day due to height restrictions at Merdeka bridge.

How about Joo Chiat Rd?

I actually think 27's Tampines-CGA loading is bound to increase as Tampines North develops and some airport employees might move to flats near Ave 9/10. So it doesn't harm to put a few more bendies on the full route I guess?
If all Airport svc use bendy as high capacity buses,The boarding berth has to relocated on far left instead.Imagine peak hours with all those lorries and Vans unloading and loading.

Yup, possible. Hence, they will need to reallocate the bendies for the more needing services as we have only 40 WAB bendies unless they order more.

I have travelled Joo Chiat many times, I don't see an issue. 16 is doing fine with SDs. It doesn't need DDs.
Bedok - Marine Terrace (20-30 pax loading, also have 196)
Marine Terrace - Joo Chiat (30-40 pax)
Joo Chiat - Dakota (this is where loading reaches around 70 pax, also have svc 33 that happens to be svc 33 high loading sector as well)
Dakota - Orchard (between 40-50 pax)
Orchard - Tiong Bahru (between 30-50 pax)
Tiong Bahru - Bukit Merah (30-50 pax)
So apart from 2 stops along Dunman road, where there might be difficulty to board svc 16, the route currently is strictly SD loading and hence DDs don't really make sense. But can always give 2-3 DDs to start with and see!!
I got a feeling that there will be small number of bendies bought for selected service. .Bidadri Int floor plan already got 3 bendy lots.

Yep, have been seeing lots of A22 spamming on 302 lately. This week 302 BD shld be 8012Z 8019E 8020A 8023S 8028D & 1237K.The rest I'm not sure.
Does 300 get downsize since 983 had gotten DD upsize recently?
bendy bus can use for BRT feeder bus for new town like Bidadri.
Originally posted by SG5064X:Does 300 get downsize since 983 had gotten DD upsize recently?
300 has a lot of SDs spamming also. 983 got upsize because the loading towards BPJ has increased considerably especially in AM. DDs carry 90+ pax between 0745 and 0815am and SDs are packed to door, unless they are back to back.
On the contrary loading between CCK and CCK Ave 4/5 has dropped somewhat. DTL effect.

16 and 33 cover different parts of Joo Chiat.

the loading is mainly from Dunman road and not Joo Chiat for svc 16. There is a huge crop of condos there and people take 16/33 from there to Dakota MRT. Of course you have some 30 odd pax on the bus before it hits Dunman, making Dunman road the highest loading point for svc 16 and also svc 33.
